“Rise above the storm and you will find the sunshine.”

      Mario Fernandez

What is the inspiration behind the name?

Did you know that the eagle senses when the storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle does not escape the storm nor hide from it.

It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. How? It flies to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.

The eagle easily manoeuvres and cuts through strong air currents. When the storm hits, it goes directly into it. The eagle sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

When we face obstacles and decide to take actions instead of hiding and passively waiting for the storm to hit us, like the eagle, we can raise above them.

How could your current challenges move you and lift you higher?

Hunter of the sky

The eagle is strong, fast and agile. It can rise to height of seven to nine kilometres (23,000 to 30,000 feet) which is not even possible for every kind of aircraft to do. Some eagles are able to soar for long periods of time without a single flap of their wings.

At the site of potential prey, the eagle can accelerate to 320 kilometres (200 miles) per hour.  With its extremely strong eye sight, it can see a prey from a height of three kilometres (10,000 feet) and able to simultaneously track two objects with one eye. Eagles can hunt everywhere, in bodies of water, in a dense tropical forest or for an open plain in the mountains. Hovering is one of the methods that allows eagles to maintain strength during the flight and stay in the air for several hours while carefully inspecting the area in search of prey.

With the special arrangement of their wings, excellent eye sight and sharp calls, they have the perfect hunting technique.
